KMB for Answers was founded in loving memory of Katlyn Mary Bennett, who tragically died on June 23, 2013, after a long struggle with anorexia at the age of 25. KMB for Answers, Inc. is a 501c-3 tax-exempt organization, formally established in August 2013. We are based out of Rochester, NY and provide a series of educational, financial, and support services for school and mental health professionals. We provide resources and support to local and national ED treatment centers, parents, friends, and individuals who may struggle with an eating disorder. Through informative presentations, open discussions, the NEDA body-positive training program, and the pillow project, we advance our mission as a non-profit organization; to provide answers to all those impacted by eating disorders.
All of our programs, scholarships, awareness events, informational materials, and fundraising efforts are because of our dedicated donors.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding awareness, knowledge, understanding, support, and options for those impacted by Eating Disorders.
Eating disorders have been part of my life for almost 20 years; this journey has awakened me to the serious need to advocate for awareness, understanding, insurance reform, training, comprehensive treatment, and early intervention. Eating disorders can be deadly, everyone knows someone, you just might not be aware. Eating disorders are a disease of disconnection, isolation, and denial; we cannot be silent. KMB is a catalyst for change in memory of my daughter, Katie who suffered for years and those who continue to struggle every day.
