Meet Our Team
Ellen is our fearless leader. With personal experience and professional training, she is the primary eating disorder presenter and Body Positive Trainer for KMB. Affiliated with the Western NY Comprehensive Care Center, Academy for Eating Disorders, Eating Disorder Coalition, and National Eating Disorder Association, Ellen brings expertise, innovation, and compassion to the eating disorder community.
Our resident mental health expert, Emily is passionate about advocating for others and spreading awareness about mental health illness. She has experienced the pain and the many unanswered questions one has after losing someone from an Eating Disorder and her hope through KMB is to provide more support and resources to those impacted by ED. One of her favorite initiatives is the pillow project; providing a little piece of comfort for those in inpatient settings battling ED.
Linda Mazur is a small business owner, serving the Rochester community for over thirty years. Linda lost her daughter, Emilee, to anorexia in 2016. She co-authored a book with her husband John, chronicling her daughter’s and their family’s journey. Linda is an advocate and volunteers at Strong Memorial Hospital as a caring companion for adults with eating disorders, and she privately volunteers her time encouraging and supporting adults and families who are affected by eating disorders. Ellen Bennett, Linda and John Mazur, co-host the eating disorder/mental health podcast, Once Shattered: Picking up the Pieces. Linda is new to the KMB Board and is deeply honored to serve.
Brandi has been a proud board member of KMB since it was founded in memory of her best friend, Katie, knowing firsthand how eating disorders affect individuals who have been diagnosed and their friends and family. She participates in board meetings and fundraising events because she strongly believes in KMB's cause and ability to bring change.
